Our Mindset
Sojourner Church is a redeemed people in a broken world following the eternal Word.
Our Motivation
Scripture alone is our authority and guide. 1 Peter 2:9-12 describes God's people as Sojourners and exiles, reminding us that no matter where we come from or what we go through, we will never be at home on this side of eternity. We are citizens of the heavenly kingdom of Jesus Christ, and we should live as such among the kingdoms here on earth. Peter continues by urging believers to live in such a way that is contrary to culture and faithfully submits to the truth of Scripture. We desire to live in such a way that even when people speak negatively about us, "they may see our good deeds and glorify God."
Our Mission
The scriptures are clear that "there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" - and that name being the name of Jesus Christ. Salvation is a costly gift whose price has been fully paid through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and freely offered to all who would believe. Unfortunately, there are so many still out there that have no clue who Christ is, or worse yet, claim to follow an idolatrous version made in their own image rather than the true God of the bible. We want to obey Christ's command to "make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." We want to share the beautiful message of salvation to anyone that will listen and see the nations submit to Christ as Lord - beginning right here in Headland.

At this point, we are still in the planning stages of Sojourner Church. We are looking forward to having preview services on Sunday mornings in March at 10 AM. We will be meeting in the Small Special Occasions building located at 301 Boynton Street in Headland, Alabama. Our official, public launch will be on Easter Sunday (March 31, 2024).
